In Which I Start a Blog

Standard

It’s not my first blog. Some of you may remember that I started a blog in February 2013, fueled by anxiety and too much coffee. (Yes, I know, the coffee enhanced the anxiety.) That blog was through Google, and I never could get it to work right. Actually, I don’t think I ever tried to post again, after that first time. I hope to do better with this one.

Starting a blog was part of my two year plan. Not much else is going according to the plan, but at least I have control over this part of my life.

(Writing about a plan makes me think of my dear friend Mr. Carolina, with whom I traveled for two months in 2013. Whenever I asked him about his plans, he’s laugh uproariously. He wouldn’t even say a word, just laugh.)

I’ve got lots of ideas for things I want to write about. The problem is in the sitting down and actually writing. Maybe having an audience will help.

About Blaize Sun

I live in my van, which makes me a rubber tramp. I like to see places I've never seen before, and I like to visit the places I love again and again. I like to play with color. I make collages and hemp jewelry and cheerful winter hats. I take photographs and (sometimes, not in a long time) write poetry. All of those things make me an artist. Although I like to spread joy and to make people laugh, my wit can be sharp. I try to stay positives in all situations, to find the goodness in all people. But I often feel compelled to point out bullshit when I smell it. I like to have fun, to dance, to eat yummy food, to sit by a fire and share stories. I want to know what people hold dear and important, not just make surface small talk. This blog is a way for me to share stories. This blog is made up of my stories, rants, and observations, as well as my photographs.

  1. Plans….. now your talking about my life….you know plan A, plan B, Plan C………..good thing there’s 26 letters. During Super Bowl halftime dad (93) fell and broke his hip. He’s going to a new assisted living facility with even more care. After many years with good health my big family is having health difficulties. Good thing there are many hands. By the way where are you and do you have any pictures of your hats? Oh I’m a great audience. Don’t forget about my blog: http://www.riograndechile.com I try to post every now and then. Have you heard how the snow is in Taos and anybody making $ at the Gorge?

  2. Jennifer, thanks for including a link to your blog. I tried to link my blog to your blog, but I am not sure that is possible since we are on different blog hosts. If you know how to link us, please feel free to do so.

Sorry to hear about your dad and the health challenges in your family.

I added “take photos of hats” and “make a blog post about hats” to my list of things to do. Hopefully I can at least take the photos today and make the post soon. My goal for today is to figure out how to add photos to these posts.

I’ve heard that there’s been quite a bit of snow in Taos and that there has been a lot of fighting (some of it physical) at The Bridge. That leads me to believe that there hasn’t been much $. I’ve noticed that when there’s lots of money, people tend to fight less.
